Let me begin by saying that I had the best time shooting the session below. I have photographed Carson and his family for a few years now and have loved every minute of it.
I met his precious family during a very tough time in their lives. Carson was born early at just 29 weeks and weighed in at a whopping 3 pounds. I had the privilege of being his nurse in the NICU. If you have ever been a NICU parent you know what a rollercoaster having a premature baby can be, but you would never know what a rough start sweet Carson had if you met him today! He is a typical little boy that loves trucks and tractors and digging in the sand box. He even drags Mom and Dad in there too!
When I asked Carson's Mom, Julia, how she would describe her experience she said, "We have always had a wonderful experience! With Carson I always worry about if he will cooperate and not give Laura such a hard time, but she goes above and beyond to make sure we get the perfect shot! I mean… she chased my 3-year-old around in 100-degree weather when we were all melting!! And his pictures were AMAZING!!! They always are!!"
It is such a blessing to be able to photograph families throughout the years and see how they change a grow. Carson and his family are extra special to me and seeing how far Carson has come makes my heart so happy! He has an infectious smile and the cutest little laugh! This handsome little fella is going to do great things!!
